Tad Dodge has a varied practice that has included complex cases involving personal injury, products liability, inverse condemnation, real property, the thrift industry, business disputes and .

Tad excels as a legal writer and in analyzing the complicated legal questions that often arise in difficult cases. His experience ranges from successful litigation on behalf of a female parishioner abused in a counseling relationship, to representing the Washington state association that guaranteed deposits with state-chartered credit unions. He has also litigated several inverse condemnation cases with partner Dan Hannula that resulted in substantial verdicts and settlements for local homeowners.

Tad views a team approach to representing clients as one of the major advantages offered by Rush, Hannula, Harkins & Kyler.

"If you have complex legal questions, there probably is no one, best lawyer for you. You'll be best served by a team, where each lawyer contributes their own unique strengths," Tad explains. "We take pride in building a legal team tailored to your circumstances who will best present your case."

Tad and his wife, Peggy, have lived in the Tacoma area since 1979. The couple's two daughters, Alison and Katie, were both born in Tacoma. When he's not working, Tad's favorite recreational activity is fishing. Whether fly-fishing in Montana and eastern Washington, or fishing for salmon and steelhead locally, it's a hobby he enjoys year round.

Tad received his undergraduate degree in English from the Virginia Military Institute in 1976. Before attending law school, he served as an infantry officer in the United States Army. Tad received his law degree, cum laude, from the University of Puget Sound School of Law in 1985. He has served as a director for the law school's alumni society.
